Tips on How to Use Facebook

Facebook is a social networking site that anyone of any age can use. It is a social network that allows everyone to be connected. Just because you are not a teenager, doesn't mean that you can't use Facebook. I will guide you through the process of signing up and show you how easy it really is, to get started and use. After reading these tips, you might even give a few pointers to a teenager you know. The great thing about Facebook is that it is 100% free for life. Using it will not cost you a single cent and it keeps all your friends and contacts in one place.
First thing you will need to do is to find the Facebook home page. You can simply type Facebook, in Google, and the result will show up. There is really no way you can miss it since it is number one on Google search engine. When you are on the home page, you will see a few things you need to fill out. It is about the same as any normal form that you will fill out. Standard information like your email, first name, last name and password that you want to use for Facebook, you will also need to add your birthday and gender.
Once you are all done filling out the forms, you will just need to click on the green button with the words "Sign up". Facebook has a feature that checks to see if you are a real person. There will be a code that you need to enter when it appears. If these words are hard to read, you can refresh the page or you can use the audio option. Using the audio function will help if you are unable to read small and warp wording. Once you have entered the code hit the green "Sign up" button again.
When you are done with those, Facebook will ask if you want to connect to existing friends. It will search through your email addresses to find your friends. It will send out invitations, which inform your friends that you wish to connect with them. This saves you from trouble of inviting them one at a time. It will also show your friends that you have a Facebook page, for anyone that wants to get to know you to connect to. Once you are finished signing up, it's important for you to fill out the profile page, this helps Facebook find friends or people that you know.
Using the information you provided for your profile, Facebook will be able to find people that have studied in the same school or worked in the same company. Depending on the information you place in your profile, Facebook can even suggest friends based on common interests, and the city you live in. One way for people to recognize you, is to upload a photo of yourself. When you are creating your profile, you will be prompted to upload a photo. Just click on "Upload a photo". You can always use a photo on your computer. If you do not have a photo, but wish to use your web camera to take one, just click on the option below that. When you are all done, your Facebook profile will be ready to use.

How to Use Facebook to Get Article Traffic

Article marketing remains to be one of the most powerful sources of web traffic. It's still one of my favorite tools when promoting my business online, when building my brand, and when strengthening my expert status in my niche. But did you know that you supercharge your article marketing campaign if you promote your articles through Facebook?
Facebook, as you might already heard, is now one of the extremely popular websites in the world. Proof to that is the fact that it attracts the same number (and sometimes, even more) of visitors as Google. The good thing about it is promoting your articles on FB is much easier compare when you're doing this on search engines. You just need to know the basics and you'll be able to multiply your article traffic in no time.
Here's how you can make that happen:
1. First obvious step is to of course, get your Facebook account. You have the option of getting a regular account or a fan page. Then, get more people to join your network. Research and identify FB members who are sharing the same interest and who are most likely to do business with you in the long run. Make your profile interesting and ensure that it'll speak volumes about your expertise in your niche and that it will represent your business very well.
2. Socialize. The goal of FB is not really to help internet marketers like you to drive traffic to your website. Its main goal is to get people to socialize with each other. So, instead of promoting your articles right away, mingle with people in your network first. Get to know them and give them a chance to know you. Read their status updates and react. Like their photos and comment on their messages. Little by little, people will know you. This is important as this will help you break down the wall that can separate you and your potential clients.
3. Write amazing status updates. Amaze people in your network by always coming up with updates that are simply interesting. You can talk about the recent issues related to your niche, react on blog posts written by industry experts, offer insider tips and trade secrets, etc. Through this, you'll be able to get your target audience to check your wall every now and then. This will also give you an opportunity to show to these people that you're a great source of valuable information and that they can trust you.
4. Ensure the quality of your articles. Before you send your Facebook friends to your articles, ensure that your articles are worth their while. They must be original, very useful and informative, well-written, and simply out of the ordinary. Post these articles on your blog, on your website, and on article marketing sites.
5. Promote your articles to your FB friends. Give your followers bits and pieces of exciting information about the articles that you're about to publish to build anticipation. Then, give them the link of your articles page or website/blog where they'll be able to read the whole article. Using attention-grabbing teasers and getting as many likes and shares as possible will definitely help.

How to Use Facebook to Drive Traffic to Your Articles

This article is for those people who want to drive traffic to their articles and later on, to their blogs and website using the very popular social networking site - Facebook. Here's what you need to do:
Provide interesting information on your profile. Be very creative when writing your profile to draw more attention. Make sure that you do not make something up. People are more likely to connect with you if they feel your sincerity. Tell them who you are, what you do, the things that you find interesting, your areas of expertise, and your hobbies. Then, provide the links where people can easily access your articles. This could be your website, your EzineArticles author page, or your blog.
Do not engage in hard selling or blatant advertising. I know that your main goal in doing this is to secure decent sales but doing what I mentioned earlier will not help you in anyway. You see, if you make your Facebook page sounds like a sales letter, I can guarantee you that you'll shoo your potential clients away. Worst, they might even block you. You don't want that to happen, right?
Build your credibility. This is the first thing that you need to achieve. You need people to consider you as an expert in your niche before they'll listen to you. So, connect with those people who are considered industry leaders in your niche. Talk about relevant issues and share your opinion. Ensure that your posts are well written, well thought-out, and simply impressive. Remember, your potential clients are reading what you're saying.
Upload pictures and videos. This is something that will make your Facebook page really interesting. As often as you can, post relevant pictures that your target audience might find interesting. Also, create amazing videos. If you're selling information products about making money online for example, create a tutorial video showing your prospects how they can create their website to start their affiliate marketing career. Through this, you'll be able to help them and you'll be able to showcase your expertise in your niche. It's like hitting two birds with one stone, right?
Mingle with other people. Social media marketing is all about being social. So, visit the Facebook pages of other people and leave comments on their status, pictures, and videos. If you do this all the time, these people will be enticed to do the same. They'll visit your page and they'll know about your and your business.
Wait for the right time to pitch in your products and services. Do not offer what you're selling to every person who leaves comments on your pictures or status. Instead, wait for them to ask you about products and services that you can recommend to them. Then, send them a link to your blog, EzineArticles page, or website where they can easily find your articles. The more traffic you send to your articles, the better your chances of boosting the number of your sales leads.

Ebook Writing Profits - How to Use Facebook and Twitter to Sell More Ebooks and Build Your Business

Social networking has made the process of marketing your eBook much easier. By having a presence on Facebook and Twitter you can position yourself as an expert in your field in a very short time. Even while you are still writing your eBook, get started on these two social media sites and become the go-to person in your niche.
Facebook now has more than one hundred million members, so the best way to let people know about you and your eBook is to start your own group. You can use the title of your eBook as the title of the group you create, provided it is filled with your keywords.
You can invite your Facebook friends to join your group, but people will also be able to find your group by typing your keywords into Google or any other search engine. For example, if you type eBook writing and technology into Google, my Facebook group is number one. How cool is that?
You will also want to create a page on Facebook with the name of the eBook as the title. A page is separate from your profile in that it is specifically about your business or your product, which in this case is your eBook.
This page will also rank high in the search engines, but that is not the only way it will help people to find you and your eBook. When you create a page you can also import your blog's RSS feed into the page. This means that every time you make a post to your blog it will automatically be syndicated into Facebook. Even though you can do this in other areas of Facebook, being able to import your blog, where you are writing about your niche topic, will give your eBook even more exposure.
My strong recommendation is that you purchase a domain name that is the same as the name of your eBook, and then forward that domain to your page on Facebook. Your blog's domain name can be something very similar, or it can be exactly the same with a different extension. For example, your blog may end with dot come, whereas your Facebook page may end with dot net. This is a great way to take full advantage of your keywords, while branding your name and your niche at the same time.
Twitter is the other major player in the social networking arena. You can set up your account to automatically tweet your blog posts at certain times each day. When you write about your eBook in one of your blog posts, anyone who is following you on Twitter will see what you have written.
Even though you are limited to 140 characters with each tweet, you can shorten your links by using a site such as tinyurl or bitly. This enables you to provide great information about your eBook in the space you are allowed. You may also want to give out a sample chapter to your Twitter followers so that they can see if this is something they will be interested in purchasing. I recommend doing this while you are still writing, so that you will already have prospects when you are ready to make sales.
The combination of Facebook, Twitter, and your blog will give you the online presence you need in order to sell your eBook and become known to your target audience. By seeing your name in so many places, you will be able to attract new prospects and clients on a regular basis.
By getting involved in social networking right now, you will be able to position yourself as the expert in your niche. People will know who you are and associate you with your topic. There has never been a better time to be online than right now, and social networking speeds up the process of building your list and gaining the credibility and visibility necessary to sell your eBook and building your online empire.

Information Marketing Techniques: How to Use Facebook to Distribute Information

When talking about information marketing, some online marketers would automatically think of article directories as vehicles in distributing information. However, with the creation of different portals such as Facebook, you now have the option to share your in-depth knowledge using different mediums to reach out wider audience.
Facebook, as you might already know is the most popular social networking site in the online arena today. For the last couple of years, it managed to attract not just thousands but millions of loyal followers worldwide. What used to be a college site now attracts different people from across the globe. Research suggests that a huge percentage of current Facebook members belong to the 21-35 age bracket. This has made this site a great site for internet marketers.
Here's how you can incorporate Facebook on your information marketing campaign:
The first and perhaps, the most obvious step to take is to sign up an account. This is for free and the sign up process is relatively easy. Provide as much information about yourself and about your ebusiness as possible.
Next step is to create and later on, expand your network. Find those people who fit the profile of your target market and befriend them or convince them to like your fan page. As this may take a lot of time and research, I suggest that you ask freelancers to help you out. Right now, there are people who are specializing in this field. For a specific amount, they can get as many "likes" as you want.
Explore Facebook tools that you can use to promote your business. Start by reading and discovering Facebook pages. In simplest term, this is a page where you can easily communicate updates or information related to your business and products. Potential clients and paying customers can subscribe as "fans" and they'll automatically receive updates as soon as you post something on your Facebook pages. You can also take advantage of Facebook group pages. Unlike with Facebook pages, these are created around specific group of people and unless you're subscribed to them, you wouldn't be able to access the content. This is like your email marketing list. You'll send people subscribed to these group pages some relevant information to win their trust and to convince them to buy the products that you sell.
Inform before you advertise. The principles of article marketing would apply here; inform first before you advertise. The goal here is to introduce yourself to your prospects and give them a chance to see you as a professional and authority in your niche so they'll trust you. Once you have established a relationship based on trust, you can easily convert them to paying customers. It's important to ensure that any content you send to these people is well-written, unique, entertaining, and extremely informative.
Provide updates regularly. Just like when running your own blog, you need to give your "fans" a reason to keep on checking your Facebook group pages. The best thing that you can do is to provide them with fresh information as often as possible.
