Social media has become a part and parcel of our daily lives. Teenagers are especially seen browsing through Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and such other sites to connect, chat, and share interesting news and pictures with their online friends. The major benefit of social websites is that they can be literally carried with you on the move. With laptops, cell phones, and tablet PCs, internet browsing and social networking sites is as easy as getting a cup of coffee from the coffee vending machine.
This concept of networking has thrown open its doors to businesses who are always on the lookout for smarter ways to market their products and events. The 2012 Social Media Marketing Industry Report found that 85% of all marketers used social media for generating more exposure for their businesses. "Increasing traffic was the second major benefit, with 69% reporting positive." Social networking sites are used primarily to reach out to all kinds of customers belonging to different age groups and gender.
