How to Create a Great Social Media Presence

These days, when more and more people and companies are using the internet for marketing and connecting, having a social media presence is imperative. However, in order to leverage the power of Facebook, Twitter or YouTube for more traffic, leads and customers you must do your job in a specific way. That's what I will show you by the end of this article.
The first and perhaps the most important thing that you need to focus on in the social media world is "YOU." Yes, I said that well: you're not here to promote a super magic pill, a get rich quick scheme or some cool companies. Instead, work everyday to brand yourself in the front of people as an expert in your chosen field and as a man of value who shares freely, useful information, tips and strategies. Choose from the beginning how you want to be known by others and keep that image in your mind.
Your profile plays a big role in establishing a great social media presence as well. Create a professional one, filled with genuine information about who you are, what you do, your dreams, passions and last but not least your contact data: phone, email, skype or other social accounts. Keep away the spamming links, logos or promotional messages from your personal image.
The next step is to be consistent on these sites!
It's your chance to be yourself and to show others what you have the best. Use it daily! Every time when you write a blog post, an article or shoot a video that contains valuable stuff share it. Did you find some inspiring presentations or quotes? Share them too!
Social media it's about sharing and interacting with your target audience! Don't wait that others ask you something! Initiate a conversation and find what people are thinking!
Offer solutions or suggestions in groups,on your Facebook page etc.
Honesty and kindness are two qualities that every big leader has. Don't try to sell junk or fake hopes. Be honest about yourself, your work or products and also be kind and tolerant.
On the other hand, it's not wise at all to attack your competition or even to say harsh words to different spammers who try to invade your profiles. Respect them, whoever they are and move on.
