Make sure you have a guest book ready and ask people to sign in to it. Invite them to give you their opinion on your website. This will allow you to improve the website and get more visitors. Plus if your writing is engaging people will just want to stay on your site and read what you write. When you give away your articles to others to use they will have to keep your bio/author box on it to give you credit and that will have your address of your website on it. Again that drives more traffic to your website. Make sure on the top of your website page that you invite people to bookmark your site so they can easily come back and tell them you update your content frequently.
If you have a product to sell, offer an affiliate program on your site. You would need to set up some way to pay them if they sold something and a good tracking platform. Something like Clickbank works well. When you have affiliates advertising your site it defiantly helps to drive traffic there.
