Making Money At Blogging - How To Create A Profitable Blog

So many people out there with fantastic blogs just don't realize the money making potential of their blog. They just aren't aware of how their blog might be monetised to bring them a nice, regular online income. Now pretty much anyone can actually make online money with blogging. And if they get good at it, it can become quite a handsome income, without having to spend a lot of time on it. Don't get me wrong - a lot of time goes in when you're establishing your blog, but after that it's mostly just a matter of maintaining it.
Let me give you some ideas about why making money at blogging is so profitable and manageable.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Now that may sound scary if you are not technologically inclined, but it really isn't - especially for bloggers. WordPress (which I highly recommend), makes it very easy for even beginners to have and look after a good looking, profit making blog. And the real beauty about WordPress - and blogging in general - is that the search engines, Google included, loves blogs! Blogs provide fresh content on a regular basis. The search engines just eat this up - they absolutely love it.
Many WordPress themes are designed with SEO in mind. There are very simple ways to include AdSense on your blog and other ways to make money on your blog.
You really don't need to know html or other coding at all with a WordPress blog. In fact I'd go as far to say that if you can use Microsoft Word, then you can manage your own blog.
Niche Marketing
The first thing I want to point out for you is that if your main reason for blogging is to create a bit of cash flow you'll need to choose a topic or niche that people are already buying in, or is searched for a lot. You can determine this in many ways, but some of the quickest ways (and my preferred methods) are by using the Google AdWords Keyword Tool, Google Trends (to see what that market is doing - trending up, down or steady) and ClickBank. You might as well set up a Google account and a ClickBank account, because you want to make money blogging, right? So you will need these sooner rather than later. And when you have a Google account it makes using their Keyword Tool much easier.
Secondly, if you can find a niche that people are buying in AND you have a strong interest in the topic, you are way more likely to succeed. You'll be enthusiastic about your blog, which comes across in your writing and you'll also already be researching the topic, looking at new ideas about it, reading articles or reviews about it and more. So you'll always have something fresh to offer your blog readers - which keeps them coming back.
If you really want to ramp up your income from your blog, then you'll need to create a list of subscribers. Offer them something of value (a report or e-book etc.) so they'll give you their email address. You can automate this entire process with an autoresponder. I use aWeber, but there are many very good autoresponder companies. This way you can send out a series of emails (automatically) to people on your list which you will provide excellent information on your niche as well as some affiliate product offers. This is another way to make money with blogging.
Physical Products
Before spending quite a few dollars on my latest digital camera that I bought last year, I did a lot of online research. I went through reviews, testimonials and customer opinions on several digital cameras that I was interested in. I spent a lot of time online reading, comparing several models, jotting down notes before I made my decision and bought it. Most of that time was spent on technology and photography blogs. This research helped my make the purchase.
Now if the site that I bought the camera through had been where I got the reviews I might had been sceptical and probably wouldn't have bought there. But reading blogger's reviews of the products (even if they got paid for it) gave me the overall information that actually helped that camera company make a sale without using any of its own resources.
Take into consideration now that there is an entire generation who grew up with computers and the internet. They use them to make purchasing decisions. That's a lot of people across the world using this technology to buy things.
Blogs Encourage Visitor Interaction
Many blog visitors will post comments on your blog, talk about their own experience with a particular products or topic and add even more value to your blog. You'll have more original content (remember search engines love that) and often comments inspire other readers to add their bit to as well. When people truly love your blog they will spread the word and even link to your posts if they have their own website or blog, giving you valuable backlinks which again helps with SEO.
Making Money Blogging
It is not hard to start a blog and turn it into a money making blog. You may already have a popular blog and just need to include ways to monetise it. First, understand the potential of your blog, get some visitors to it and you can start making money fairly quickly. You can also make money blogging with paid reviews.
